Lloyd Orrell

Lloyd Orrell of Allen Park, Michigan has been a promoter for gospel music since 1941. His first ‘all-night sing’ was sponsored in Detroit on October 15, 1955 with more than 5,000 attending and 3,000 others turned away. He now promotes concerts in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Indiana. He retired from the automotive industry in 1957 because he felt his “calling” was in promoting gospel concerts.
