Remembering George Beverly Shea

Shea

Gospel Music Hall of Fame member George Beverley Shea went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2013 at the age of 104.  Shea is often called America’s Beloved Gospel Singer and spent decades as a soloist and song leader for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.  His rendition of “How Great Thou Art” and his own composition “I’d Rather Have Jesus” have inspired millions and continue to draw our hearts to Jesus.  Shea was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 1978.  We thank God for George Beverly Shea’s life and work.
